France international and Juventus midfielder, Paul Pogba, has reportedly tested positive for raised levels of testosterone in a random drug test conducted after Juventus’ 3-0 victory over Udinese in Serie A last month.
The 30-year-old did not play in the match, spending time on the substitutes’ bench, but was nevertheless selected for a random test.
That test allegedly showed elevated levels of testosterone. According to various reports, a second test sample will now be checked in order to determine a definitive result. If a positive test is confirmed, Pogba will be tried by the National Anti-Doping Tribunal and could face a two-year ban from the game.
Pogba re-joined Juventus on a free transfer in July 2022 following the expiry of his contract with United. He has struggled upon his return to the Italian side, with injuries significantly restricting his game time.

Having previously battled a knee injury, which ruled him out of the World Cup with France last year, Pogba complained of a back problem following the 2-0 win over Empoli on September 3.
The central midfielder has won 91 caps for France, helping to win the 2018 World Cup, but has not played for the national team since 2022. He made 233 appearances for United between 2016 and 2022, scoring 39 goals and contributing 51 assists.
