The Lagos State House of Assembly has confirmed 15 out of the 18 nominees presented by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu for ratification and confirmation.
Among the confirmed nominees are the former Commissioners for Health and Information and Strategy, Professor Akin Abayomi and Mr Gbenga Omotoso, respectively, who had been rejected by the Assembly during the initial screening.
However, on Thursday, the Assembly again rejected former Commissioner for Economic Planning and Budget, Sam Egube, who had previously faced rejection in the first list put forward by Governor Sanwo-Olu.
Similarly, former Commissioner for Energy, Engr. Olalere Odusote, faced a second rejection by the Assembly.
The House decided to defer the confirmation of a new nominee, Tolani Akibu.
