A woman identified as Hafsa Musa has been remanded in a correctional center by the Kano State Sharia Court in Gama PRP, allegedly stabbing a man with scissors.
She is facing trial on a single charge of causing serious injury to another person’s body.
The court alleges that Hafsa Musa stabbed a man named Buhari Mikail using a pair of scissors, resulting in a severe injury to his neck..
The police told the court that the defendant committed the offence when a fight erupted between her friend (a lady) and the complainant and that she entered the fight and stabbed the man.
Upon the reading of the charges, Hafsa pleaded guilty.

As a result, the judge ordered her to be remanded in prison custody.
The case has been adjourned until September 19 for sentencing.
