Two unemployed men were on Friday, docked in a Sharia Court in Kano State for allegedly stealing a ceiling fan, aluminium sliding window and wires from an Islamic school worth N295, 000.
The polie charged Abdul Lawan-Muhammed, 27 and Salisu Auwal, 20, who both live in Kofar Kansakali, Kano with criminal conspiracy, theft and mischief.
The Prosecution Counsel, inspector Abdullahi Wada, told the court that the case was reported on July 26, at the Mandawari police station by Suleiman Salisu, who is also the complainant.
Wada said the defendants trespassed into the school, stole a ceiling fan, electric wire and aluminium sliding window, property of Tarasul Islam school, worth N295,000.
They pleaded guilty to the charge.
The Judge, Malam Umar Lawal-Abubakar, however admitted the defendants to bail in the sum of N30,000 with one surety each who should be a blood relation.
Lawal-Abubakar adjourned the matter until Aug.18 for trial.
