In response to the increasing cases of diphtheria disease, the Kano State Government has established no fewer than three treatment centres within the state to tackle the outbreak effectively.
Dr. Abubakar Yusuf, the state Commissioner of Health, made the disclosure while giving an update on the outbreak of the diseases on Thursday.
He said a state such as Kano should not be battling with such an outbreak but failure of the previous administration to immunize the people exacerbated the situation.
Yusuf revealed that over one hundred and thirty (130) persons were admitted last Monday alone as the case continues to grow.
