A 50 kilograms bag of cement in the Federal Capital Territory has surged to between N10,000 and N15,000. A market survey conducted on Friday by Journalist in Gwarimpa, Area 10, Kubwa, Lugbe and Dawaki showed that a 50kg bag of Dangote cement is N10,000 and BUA cement stood at N15,000. A retailer in Gwarimpa, Yinka Adebayo, said that the price of Dangote cement is N10,000 while that of BUA is N15,000. The Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC) is exploring the possibility of relocating certain units from Abuja to Lagos. According to a memo dated 14th February 2024, with reference CSA/HGA/MRP/ML/001, seen by ‘Good Evening Nigeria’ correspondent, the move is to improve organizational efficiency and manage office accommodation in Abuja. Olubodun Sanni, a 21-year-old final-year student at Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba (AAUA), has been detained for the alleged murder of Miss Adekunle Adebisi Ifeoluwa. Bandits killed four people, including two police officers, during an attack on Kasuwa-Daji Town in Zamfara State’s Kaura-Namoda Local Government Area. During the attack, at least forty other people were kidnapped. inhabitants reported that the bandits attacked the town in the early hours of Tuesday, shooting intermittently to intimidate inhabitants. Gunmen suspected to be bandits on Sunday evening reportedly killed nine traders along Jibia/Batsari Road on Katsina State. Residents reported that the traders were returning to their community from a local market in Jibia when they ran into the gunmen around 6 pm.
