The Kano state police command has arrested a suspected kidnapper Ismail Rabiu who was declared wanted after the death of his victim. Rabiu and his accomplice were accused of kidnapping a 14-year-old boy Abdullahi Sani of Hotoron Fulani quarter in the metropolis. Former Minister of Education, Prof Fabian Osuji is dead. He died on Wednesday morning, according to a family member who confirmed his death. He had returned from the United States on Saturday where he had been holidaying, and was treated for undisclosed ailments. Born Fabian Ngozichukwu Chinedum Osuji on 20 January 1942, he attended Holy Ghost College, Owerri, Government College, Umuahia, the University of Nigeria, Nsukka in Enugu State and the University of Ibadan, Oyo State. The Military Special Task Force in charge of maintaining peace in Plateau State said, on Tuesday, that it rewarded eight personnel of Operation Safe Haven for rejecting N1.5m bribe from suspected cattle rustlers in the state.
