The Kano State Public Complaints and Anti-Corruption Commission has initiated an investigation into the alleged disappearance of over N4 billion government funds from the Kano Agricultural Supply Company (KASCO). The Chairman of the commission, Mr Muhyi Rimingado, confirmed this when he lead an investigation tour to the warehouses where alleged cars, heavy duty tractors and tractors believed to have been bought by the siphoned funds were been kept in Kumbotso Local Government Area of the state. The Standards Organisation of Nigeria (SON) in Bauchi State reported that its operation team arrested a suspected producer of counterfeit Nitrogen, Phosphorus, and Potassium fertilizer in Chinade town, Katagum Local Government Area of the State. Bauchi State Police have arrested a suspect in connection with a crime where a 25-year-old man had his hand removed and was stabbed in the head. Ahmed Wakil, the state Police Public Relations Officer, said in a statement on Friday that the suspect had been on the command’s wanted list for two years for thuggery and causing grievous harm. The Kano State Vehicle Inspection Department says it has generated N14.2 million as internal revenue from various fines in the last six months. The traffic agency also said it impounded no fewer than 100 faulty vehicles within the period under review across the state. The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC), said it seized products worth more than N10 million, including sex enhancers, at hawkers’ and illegal drug sellers’ outlets in some parts of Kaduna State. At least 23 women, including young ladies, were abducted by bandits in a forest near Damaga community, located in Maradun Local Government Area of Zamfara State. The incident took place on Wednesday, as reported by Daily Trust. The women had ventured into the forest to collect firewood when they were intercepted by a gang of armed men riding on motorbikes. The Kano State Government, on Thursday, announced the reopening of 26 Entrepreneurship Institutes closed by the administration of former governor, Abdullahi Ganduje. Katsina State Governor, Dikko Radda, has announced plans by his administration to establish 361 clinics to enhance quality healthcare service delivery in the state. Radda stated this while inaugurating the distribution of 198 motorcycles to routine immunisation officers and ward focal persons.
