A Governorship Election Tribunal sitting in Sokoto has ruled out the petition filed by former Governor of Zamfara State, Bello Matawalle Maradun challenging the validity of the election results that brought Dauda Lawal into office as the executive Governor of the state. The Kano State Government on Sunday transported the first batch of 158 secondary students to five states under the Students Exchange Programme. The Executive Vice Chairman of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), Professor Umar Garba Danbatta, has revealed that telecommunications investment in Nigeria has surged to $77 billion.
