The Commissioner of Police in Kano State, Usaini Muhammed Gumel, has said that only 50 individuals were granted access to the court presiding over the petitions filed before the Kano Governorship Election Tribunal. More than 520 children have lost their lives to diphtheria in Kano State, the state Primary Healthcare Development Agency has revealed. The Director General of the agency, Muhammad Nasir Muhammad, made the disclosed this statistic during a key address at a one-day orientation for media practitioners regarding the diphtheria disease outbreak. The Police Command in Plateau, has arrested two other medical doctors in connection with the alleged harvest of vital human organs by one Noah Kekere, a suspected quack doctor. The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has allocated 1,518 seats to Jigawa for the 2024 Hajj Pilgrimage to Saudi Arabia. A Chief Magistrates’ Court in Kafanchan, Kaduna State, has ordered that a 36-year-old business woman, Lois Iliya, be remanded in a correctional centre over alleged lesbianism with a minor. Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State on Monday inaugurated the construction of 19-kilometre Liman Katagum-Luda road project awarded at the cost of N2.4 billion. Mohammed said the project would be executed through the World Bank assisted Rural Access and Agricultural Marketing Project (RAAMP) being implemented in collaboration between its international development association and the French Development Agency. Not fewer than three lives have been lost as a result of flood in some parts of Jos metropolis.
