The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has apprehended three visually impaired individuals involved in an illicit drug operation spanning between Lagos and Kano states. The Adamawa State Primary Healthcare Development Agency says it is targeting 388,180 girls aged nine to 14 years for vaccination against the Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) to prevent them from cervical cancer. Unknown Gunmen have attacked the residence of the Kiyawa Local Government Chairman in Jigawa State and kidnapped his two wives. A Kano high court has issued an ex-parte order restraining the Kano State government and four other parties from taking any action against private schools operating in the state. The Niger government says it has earmarked N20 billion in its 2024 budget for the take-off of the state university of education. Alhaji Umaru Bago, the state governor, disclosed this on Saturday in Minna, while inaugurating the committee saddled with the responsibility for the take-off of the university. The Appeal Court in Abuja has scheduled Monday for the hearing of an appeal filed by Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) regarding the nullification of his election by the Kano Election Petition Tribunal. A Katsina State-based Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO), Mangal foundation, says it will treat and conduct free surgery for over 500 hernia and hydrocele patients in the state. The Kaduna State Pension Bureau has published the names of 1,051 beneficiaries, including both the defined benefits scheme and contributory pension scheme.
