The Court of Appeal sitting in Abuja on Friday affirmed the tribunal judgment which declared the All Progressive Congress candidate, Nasiru Gawuna winner of the governorship election. The Tribunal led by Justice Oluyemi Osadebay in September, had nullified the election of Governor Abba Yusuf by declaring 165, 663 of his votes were invalid. The Kaduna State Ministry of Health has evacuated no fewer than 60 unclaimed corpses for mass burial in Kaduna, an official says. Umma Ahmed, Commissioner of Health, disclosed this on Friday during the evacuation of the corpses from Gwamna Awan general hospital in Kakuri Kaduna. The appellate court has scheduled today for delivering judgments on appeals arising from the election petitions tribunal of Kano state. The court will rule on appeals filed by Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), and INEC challenging the Governorship Election Petitions Tribunal’s decision that removed the governor.
