The Court of Appeal in Abuja has dismissed an appeal filed by Jamilu Mohammed of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) against the earlier ruling of the Election Petition Tribunal, which had declared the 2023 Election for the Faskari/Kankara/Sabuwa Federal Constituency inconclusive. The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) declared Jamilu Mohammed winner of the election but in a ruling by the Election Petition Tribunal, which sat in Katsina, declared the election inconclusive and ordered INEC to conduct election in 20 polling units of Faskari and Kankara Local Councils. Palestinians Government has reported that deadly Israeli strike hit a Gaza City area school serving as a shelter on Saturday. This came just as the U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken was due to hear Arab demands for a ceasefire in a meeting in Jordan. The UN has warned that “there is no place that is safe in Gaza right now”, with many of the UN buildings sheltering displaced people “impacted” by the conflict. Troops neutralised seven bandits in Kaduna State between Wednesday and Friday.
