At least 87 people have been reportedly kidnapped by gunmen in Kajuru community, Kajuru LGA of Kaduna state. Punch reports some residents as saying that the assailants attacked the community on Sunday night. The gunmen were also said to have looted several shops. Police in Akwa Ibom have arrested a woman who allegedly faked her own kidnap. The Commissioner of Police in the state, Mr Waheed Ayilara, disclosed this in Uyo on Friday while briefing journalists. Police operatives in Kwara State have arrested four students of the state university over the death of one of their colleagues. Eyewitnesses told journalists that some students of the Kwara State University (KWASU) beat one of their colleagues to death for recording them on video in a private hostel outside the campus.
