Singapore authorities confirmed the execution of a 39-year-old man, Mohamed Shalleh, who was convicted of trafficking heroin. This marked the city-state’s fifth hanging this year and the third in just over a week. The Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC) has directed Google to remove 18 digital loan apps from the Google Play store. The commission raised concerns that these apps were operating without regulatory approval or were in violation of the Limited Interim Regulatory/Registration Framework and Guidelines for Digital Lending, 2022. Former Ivory Coast President Henri Konan Bedie, part of an old guard of politicians who dominated politics in the West African nation for a generation, has died, aged 89, a close relative told Reuters on Tuesday. Governor Ahmadu Fintiri of Adamawa has relaxed the curfew in 17 of the 21 Local Government Areas of the state.
