The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) says it plans to deploy 46,084 staff for the Nov.11 off-cycle governorship election in Bayelsa, Imo and Kogi. The health ministry in Gaza on Thursday said at least 3,785 Palestinians had been killed and 12,493 wounded in Israeli strikes on Gaza since October 7. Ministry spokesman, Ashraf Al-Qudra told a news conference that of the total death toll, 1,524 were children and 1,000 were women.
