Kano’s Deputy Governor, Gwarzo clarifies misinformation on N500bn allocation

Kano State’s Deputy Governor, Comrade Aminu Abdussalam Gwarzo, has strongly refuted recent news circulating on various media platforms, distancing himself and the state government from the false reports.

The misleading reports erroneously claimed that Gwarzo criticized President Tinubu’s administration for the allocation formula of N500 billion, distributed through the Bank of Industries to support small-scale industries nationwide.

In a statement issued on Saturday, Gwarzo’s Press Secretary, Ibrahim Garba Shuaibu, clarified the Deputy Governor’s position.Shuaibu explained that Gwarzo referred to a news segment featuring Senator Ali Ndume, expressing concerns about the allocation formula, during a meeting with a delegation from the Kano Cooperative Society at the state government house.

The meeting coincided with the commemoration of the 2023 International Day of Cooperatives Society at the state government house.
