The lifeless body of the yet-to-be-identified man, who plunged into the lagoon near the Lekki-Ikoyi link bridge in Lagos State, has been recovered.
Amodu Shakiru, the Head of Public Education at the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Services, affirmed this development on Thursday.
In a brief statement directed to The Punch, he said, “Body from Lekki-Ikoyi Link Bridge recovered dead. Details soon, please.”
GOOD EVENING NIGERIA reports that the man jumped into the lagoon around 2.43pm, on Tuesday.
Emergency response teams promptly commenced a search to recover the individual from the water and police sealed off the area for investigation.
