The Kano State Commissioner for Public Procurement and Project Monitoring, Nura Iro Maaji, has disclosed that over 300 project sites are currently under development across the state. Maaji made this announcement during a meeting with the Association of Online Media Guild (ASSOMEG), led by Isyaku Ahmad, publisher of Stallion Times.
“This is my 19th day in office, and I have designated January as a learning month,” Maaji stated. He further revealed that the Project Monitoring team has already visited 21 local government areas, providing weekly progress reports. “We visit every sector, including land and water resources, and oversee physical projects. Since May 2023, the Governor has mandated the auditing of all Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs),” he added.
The Commissioner highlighted the Kano State Integrated Project Monitoring initiative, stressing the commitment of the state government. “With over 300 active project sites, all hands are on deck. The Governor’s vision is clear, and we need the media’s presence to amplify our efforts. We are ready to collaborate with you,” he emphasized.
