Angry youths matching against hunger and bad governance in the country have been dispersed by security operatives in Kano.
The Guardian reports the protesters had occupied major road as early as 8am matched from Zoo road down to state road and sooner stationed a Government house where they demanded to see the Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf.
Trouble however ensued when the angry youth set some types on fire after being denied access by heavily armed security operatives.
Provoked by the audacity of the protesters, eyewitness told our correspondent that security operatives immediately discharge teargas and shot into the air to disperse the youth.
One of the protesters, who identified himself as Abu Aminu accused the security of dispersed their peaceful protest with teagas.
Effort to speak with police spokesman SP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa on the development was not successful. The police has threatened not frustrate any attempt by hoodlums to hijack the protest in the state.
