Sheikh Ahmad Abubakar Mahmud Gumi, a prominent Islamic cleric in Nigeria, boldly declared that the killing by the Nigerian Army in Tudun Biri village, Igabi Local Government, where over 100 Muslims were killed during a Maulud gathering, was not a mistake but a deliberate action.
The cleric stated this during one of his preaching sessions in Kaduna over the weekend.
Sheikh Gumi, a medical doctor and a retired Major of the Nigerian Army since 1987, emphasized that a place cannot be bombed twice and dismissed it as a mistake.
