The British American Tobacco Nigeria Foundation (BATNF), in partnership with the Nigerian Conservation Foundation (NCF),they are kickstarting the planting of 5,000 trees in the Ajingi Forest Reserve located in Kano State.
According to an official statement, the the campaign is to plant a total of 50,000 trees by the year 2027. through community-based initiatives to support afforestation, biodiversity conservation, environmental protection, and the prevention of deforestation and habitat fragmentation.

The statement stated that the benefits of this endeavour extend beyond carbon capture, as the restored forest will be enhancing biodiversity and promoting ecological equilibrium.
