Adamawa Government has approved the completion of abandoned electrification projecta in seven communities in Gombi local government area.
Ms Neido Geofrey -Kufolto, Commissioner for Information and Strategy told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Yola on Wednesday.
She said the contract for the projects were initially awarded at the cost of N44 million in 2007.
She said the projects were abandoned at 20 per cent completion stage after which it was abandoned,saying we would soon complete the project.

”The contract for the project which were awarded under the State Ministry of Rural Infrastructure and Community Development would cover Fahar,Bewa,Kaulewa and Gayaku communities.
”The state government reviewed the contract sum from tne initial N44 million to N192.67 million with completion period of twelve months,” she said.
She said the projects were abandoned due to the high cost of electrification materials as the amount earmaked for the project cannot be matched.
She said the benefiting villages are Guyaku, Fahar, Mbewa and Kaulewa.
