Kano State Commissioner for Information and Internal Affairs, Comrade Ibrahim Abdullahi Waiya, has inaugurated the Kwankwasiyya Facebookers Group, tasked with promoting the achievements of the Kano State Government.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony on Sunday, the commissioner emphasized that Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf is implementing numerous development projects across the state, but many of these accomplishments remain underreported.
He revealed that the government is currently executing over 300 projects across various sectors, underscoring the need for increased awareness among Kano residents.

Waiya urged the newly inaugurated group to leverage their social media influence to highlight the government’s developmental strides.
“Social media today is not just for entertainment. You have followers who rely on you for accurate information and education about government programs and activities,” he stated.
He assured the group of the government’s commitment to supporting their efforts through training and capacity-building initiatives to enhance their effectiveness in digital advocacy.

“Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf is committed to the progress of Kano State, just like our leader, Engr Dr. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso. I have no other state than Kano, and we will not align with those who seek to undermine its development,” Waiya added.
He further encouraged members of the group to work together in unity for their own progress and that of the Kano State Government.
In his remarks, the chairman of the group, Abdurrahman Hamisu, pledged to work tirelessly in promoting the achievements of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf.
