The People’s Democratic Party (PDP), has lauded Gov. Dikko Radda, for mistakenly saying at a gathering, that “Katsina is a PDP state, and will continue to be so”.
The governor at the flag off of campaign for the forthcoming local council elections in the state, mistakenly said Katsina is a PDP state, and it will continue to be.
Mr Nura Amadi-Kurfi, the state Chairman of the party, who lauded Radda in a statement in Katsina on Monday, said the statement by the All Progressive Congress (APC) governor was tuth, and will always be the truth.

According to him, “the PDP in Katsina received with appreciation the courageous and sincere reminder by the governor that Katsina is a PDP state and will continue to be a PDP state.
“The PDP family proudly note that he was only saying the obvious, because since 1999, Katsina has never governed by any person who is not a PDP man.
“Both late Umaru Yar’adua of blessed memory who later became President, Dr. Ibrahim Shema, Aminu Masari and Radda, who among them is not a PDP man? None.”

“As recently as in the 2023 general elections, PDP was the winner in the presidential election, and we all know what happened in the gubernatorial election.
He therefore said when Radda mistakenly made the declaration, he was only communicating the true feelings and aspirations of Katsinawa and Daurawa.
“As their governor he ought to know best. And there’s no better place to say it than in the presence of the APC National Chairman.
“We hope that this will mark the beginning of the end for APC’s misrule in Katsina State.
“Let the government start to do the right thing by providing purposeful leadership where the citizens can be safe and enjoy the dividends of democracy as they were used to, during the Golden era of PDP government.”
