Kano Government to Strengthen Ties with Pharmaceutical Companies for Enhanced Healthcare Delivery

The Kano State Government has expressed its commitment to fostering stronger partnerships with pharmaceutical companies to improve healthcare delivery by enhancing citizens’ access to medications and other healthcare commodities.

The Director General of the Kano State Drugs and Medical Consumables Supply Agency (DMCSA), Pharmacist Gali Sule, disclosed this while receiving a donation of plastic pallets from Unique Pharmaceuticals Limited.

Speaking on behalf of the Commissioner for Health, Pharmacist Sule described the donation as timely and significant, noting that it will enhance the agency’s supply chain, improve efficiency, and increase storage capacity.

Highlighting the importance of the partnership, Pharmacist Sule stated that the collaboration between the state government and pharmaceutical companies will ensure that essential medications become more affordable and accessible, particularly for vulnerable citizens.

He further emphasized that the partnership will contribute to improving healthcare access, fostering innovation, and achieving better health outcomes for the state’s population. Pharmacist Sule also assured that once the ongoing upgrade of the DMCSA drug manufacturing facility is completed, the agency will work closely with pharmaceutical companies and educational institutions to boost medication production and promote research.

The Director General expressed gratitude to Unique Pharmaceuticals Limited for their continued support.

Presenting the equipment on behalf of the company, the Business Development Manager of Unique Pharmaceuticals, Mr. Someshwar Shinde, described the donation as part of their corporate social responsibility. He noted that the gesture demonstrates the company’s appreciation of DMCSA’s efforts and complements the Kano State Government’s initiatives to ensure the availability of medical supplies.

Mr. Shinde, accompanied by the firm’s Regional Manager, Pharmacist Afolabi Emmanuel Olateju, reaffirmed the company’s commitment to supporting the state government and the agency in improving healthcare delivery.
