The Forum of Information Officers of Local Governments in Kano has elected Ahmad Muhammad Sani Gwarzo, popularly known as Gamji, as its new Chairman.
A statement from the Forum announced the appointment of other key officials, including Munzali Muhammad Hausawa as Secretary and Fatima Abdullah as Vice President. Sani Muhammad has been appointed Treasurer, while Jamilu Mustapha takes on the role of Financial Secretary. Abdu Bako has been named Publicity Secretary, with Sharif Zahiradin serving as the Assistant Publicity Secretary.
Speaking at the event, the Head of the Public Enlightenment Department at the Ministry of Information, Alhaji Idris Zakari Zaura, called on the newly elected officers to dedicate themselves to their roles. He urged them to focus on gathering and disseminating information about development activities in their respective local governments, emphasizing the importance of contributing to the progress of their communities.

In his acceptance speech, the new Chairman, Ahmad Muhammad Sani Gwarzo, pledged to work tirelessly to improve the welfare of Forum members. He also expressed his gratitude to the Commissioner for Information, Comrade Wayya, for his continuous cooperation and support in facilitating the Forum’s operations.
