The Kano State Political Progressive Movement (KSPPM) has urged for dialogue among members of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) to foster unity and resolve internal issues threatening the party’s stability.
At a press conference, the group specifically appealed to Kano State Governor Engr. Abba Kabir Yusuf, NNPP national leader Senator Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso, and other party stakeholders to address the disagreements affecting the party’s cohesion.
According to the KSPPM, Senator Abdurrahman Kawu Sumaila OFR, PhD, is a cornerstone of the NNPP, given his political influence and popularity within Kano State and across Nigeria.

They stressed that his political acumen, coupled with a strong support base and a well-organized structure with 19 loyal delegates and K-500 spanning all 44 local government areas in Kano, makes him a vital asset to the party.
The group emphasized the need to mend relations with Senator Kawu Sumaila, urging party leaders to ensure his continued integration and contributions.

They also cautioned that unresolved disputes could hinder the party’s progress at both the state and national levels.
As the call for dialogue gains momentum, all eyes are on the NNPP leadership to see whether they can rise above the divisions and chart a new path toward unity and progress. For now, the message from the KSPPM is clear: only through collective action will NNPP secure its legacy as a champion of the people.
