Tragedy struck in the Takie area of Ogbomosho, Oyo State, on Tuesday, when a container-laden truck lost control and fell on a commercial tricycle, killing three people. The accident occurred around 9:30 a.m. at Takie Junction.
Eyewitnesses reported that the truck lost control while navigating a bend, causing the container it was carrying to topple onto the tricycle. The victims, including two female passengers and the tricycle rider, were trapped under the container.
Rescue officials later confirmed that all three victims had died.
Efforts to remove the container and clear the road were ongoing at the time of this report to prevent further accidents and ease traffic flow in the area.
