The Association of Online Media Guild (ASSOMEG), comprising seasoned journalists and publishers committed to upholding the highest standards of online journalism has congratulated Comrade Ibrahim Abdullahi Waiya on his appointment as the Commissioner for Information in Kano State.
This is contained in a statement jointly signed by the association chairman, Abdullateef Abubakar Jos, and Secretary, Abbas Yusha’u Yusuf, on Tuesday.

As the Executive Director of Citizens for Development and Education (CDE) and a founding leader of the Kano Civil Society Forum (KCSF), he has been a driving force in advocating for democratic principles, anti-corruption initiatives, peacebuilding, and the empowerment of women across Northern Nigeria,’’ the statement said.
