The National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) recently conducted an accreditation visit to the Federal College of Agricultural Produce Technology (FCAPT), Kano on December 29, 2024. This visit yielded positive results, with the accreditation of four key programs: National Diploma (ND) programs in Agricultural Technology, Nutrition and Dietetics, and Statistics, as well as a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Statistics.
This accreditation milestone underscores FCAPT’s commitment to providing high-quality education in Nigeria, in line with its statutory mandate.
According to Dr. Bashir Barau, Deputy Provost of FCAPT, Kano, this achievement reflects the college’s commitment to providing high-quality education and maintaining academic excellence. The accreditation status will enable the college to continue training students and agriculturalists in middle-level manpower in agriculture, post-harvest technology, and agricultural produce inspection.
