The Governor of Jigawa State, Umar Namadi, has been hit with double tragedy with the loss of his eldest son, Abdulwahab, in a fatal motor accident on Thursday.
This heartbreaking event follows the death of the governor’s mother, Maryam Namadi, who passed away on Wednesday after a short illness.
Sources indicate that Abdulwahab, who was driving his vehicle from Kafin Hausa to Dutse with friends, lost control of the car, which subsequently overturned.
Some of his friends are reportedly receiving medical attention at the Dutse General Hospital.
