Ministry of Works and Housing has commenced a 5-day inspection tour of various project sites under its supervision. This initiative aims to evaluate the progress, quality, and adherence to timelines of the numerous construction projects currently underway across the state.
Today, being Day 2 of the tour, the Honorable Commissioner of the Ministry, Engr. Marwan Ahmad, along with his team, visited 16 ongoing construction sites spread across various locations in Kano State. The projects range from road construction and bridges to housing developments and public infrastructure improvements.
During the tour, Engr. Marwan Ahmad expressed his satisfaction with the progress recorded so far, emphasizing the Ministry’s commitment to ensuring that all projects meet the highest standards of quality and are delivered on schedule. He further reiterated the government’s dedication to enhancing the living conditions of Kano residents through strategic infrastructural development.

“The essence of this tour is to monitor progress, identify challenges, and proffer solutions to ensure that the projects align with our vision for a better Kano. We are not only focused on completing projects but also on delivering them to the highest standards for the benefit of our people,” said Engr. Ahmad.
The Commissioner, accompanied by directors, engineers, and other technical experts from the Ministry, took time to inspect the details of each project, engaging with contractors and engineers on-site to address potential bottlenecks and ensure compliance with project specifications.

2.Lodge Road,Race Course to Daula Hotel
3.Renovation of Muhammadu Abdullahi Wase (Asibitin Nasarawa)
4.Zakirai 5km Road
5.Gabasawa 5km Road
6.Gezawa 5km Road
7.Minjibir 5km Road
8.Tukwui 5km Road
9.Danbatta Solar Energy (Street lights)
10.Makoda 5km Road
11.Ghari 5km Road
12.Bichi 5km Road
13.Bakwai 5km Road
14.Dawakin Tofa 5km Road
15.Ungogo 5km Road.
The inspection team commended the efforts of contractors who have demonstrated dedication to their work while urging others to accelerate progress where delays have been observed.
The 5-day tour will continue in the coming days, with the team scheduled to visit additional project sites to ensure a comprehensive assessment of all ongoing works under the Ministry.
