Kano State Commissioner of Health, Dr. Abubakar Labaran Yusuf announced that 3.6 million children will received polio vaccinations across the state.
Speaking at the flagg-off ceremony in Ungoggo Local Government Area, Dr. Labaran explained that the campaign will cover 44 LGAs, targeting 3.6 million children.
The Commissioner further said that, Ungoggo Local Government was chosen due to its new settlement and unique health challenges.

He urged parents to bring their children for vaccination and called on traditional leaders to support health agencies to achieve the aim.
Dr. Abubakar Labaran Yusuf maintained that they prioritize the vaccination programme in Kano to delist the state among the 18 high-risk areas in the country.
