The Vision Pioneer of the Throne Room Trust Ministry, Kafanchan, Apostle Dr. Emmanuel Nuhu Kure, has advocated for the reconfiguration of Nigerian universities to research and provide localized solutions specific to their immediate communities.

He made the call on Wednesday while presenting a paper titled “Reconfiguring the Nigerian University Landscape: A Critical Exploration of Pioneer Solutions for Sustainable Educational Reforms” at the inaugural public lecture organized by Kaduna State University (KASU), held at the main campus in Kaduna.

Apostle Kure explained that this approach will expose students to the importance of helping and making an impact in the communities they reside in, even after leaving school.

He challenged the management of Kaduna State University to clearly define its philosophy and what it hopes to achieve, and to deliberately instill this philosophy in the students if the university wants to survive in the long run.

While lamenting the current poor state of the nation and how Nigerians are suffering, Apostle Kure, who is also the Co-chairman of the Kaduna Family of the State Peace Commission, stated that the government must be deliberate in correcting the selfish and faulty foundation upon which the country was established.

He called on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Federal Government to provide Nigerians with a step-by-step blueprint on how they intend to fix the country, rather than continually reassuring them that things will soon get better.

The guest speaker, however, challenged present-day students of tertiary institutions to change their attitudes toward learning in order to discover their potential and leave a positive legacy for future generations.

Earlier, the Vice Chancellor of KASU, who spoke through the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Bashir Ali, said the topic was carefully chosen to address the current challenges faced by education. He urged participants to listen carefully and make judicious use of what they have learned for the betterment of education in the country.

Salama News reports that at the end of the program, Apostle Kure was presented with a plaque for his immense contribution and support for knowledge in Kaduna State and Nigeria as a whole by the management of the university.
