A renown politician, Ambassador Hamisu Sa’ad Dogon Nama, has publicly called on Nyesom Wike, the current Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) and former governor of Rivers State, to redirect his focus towards addressing issues in Rivers State politically rather than engaging in disputes with Rabiu Kwankwaso.
At a press conference in Kano, Hamisu Dogon Nama spoke to the media and members of the party’s supporters where he urged Wike to focus his political energy on Governor Siminalayi Fubara’s critical claims and governance concerns.
“Nyesom Wike should focus on the pressing political issues in Rivers State, where Governor Fubara has openly accused him. Rabiu Kwankwaso is ahead of Wike politically and was instrumental during Wike’s presidential primary campaign and also invited him to the state while serving as governor where he inaugurated the Mgbutanwo Internal Roads in the Emohua Local Government Area. It is time for Wike to acknowledge this support,” Hamisu Dogon Nama lamented.

He further said Rabiu Kwankwaso’s involvement in this political discourse cannot be overlooked. As a respected national leader who extended his support to Wike during a crucial political moment.
According to him, Kwankwaso has thus far refrained from making public comments about the recent challenges posed by Wike and must also realise that politics at the national level are not the same as those in Rivers State. However, his supporters have emphasised the importance of unity and collaboration among opposition figures to strengthen Nigeria’s democratic processes.
In his words: “As a former governor of Kano and the leader of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Kwankwaso has a significant following and is known for his grassroots political strategies. His influence extends beyond Kano, making him a notable figure in the national political arena.“
