BREAKING: APC NWC Declares Edo Guber Primary Election Inconclusive

 

The National Working Committee of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has rescheduled Edo State governorship primary election.

The party says it will conclude the exercise in the state on Thursday 22nd of February, 2024.

A decision to this effect was reached on Tuesday night at an emergency meeting of the NWC.

National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka disclosed this development after the NWC meeting that lasted for about three hours.

According to Morka, ” At it an emergency meeting, to consider the report on the Edo State primate election, the BWC of our party deliberate on the report and resolved that the Edo State governorship election has not been completed and has now fixed Thursday, February 22nd, 2024 for the completion of the APC Edo State Primary election process.”

Four of the 10 aspirants that contested are laying claim to victory. Governor Hope Uzodinma’s Primary Election Committee on Saturday declared Hon. Dennis Idahosa winner having polled 40,453 votes, while Senator Okpebholo was returned winner by the Cheif Returning Officer, Dr. Stanley Ugboaja and Hon. Dekeri were declared victorious by local government returning officers.
