The Kano State Civil Service Commission has approved the promotion of 118 Senior and Junior staff across 13 Ministries, Departments and Agencies.
Announcing this immediately after the 23rd Commission’s 3rd sitting which took place in Kano, Chairman of the state Civil Service Commission, Dr. Umar Shehu Minjibir maintained that 12 transfer cases and 47 deployment cases to various Ministries, Departments and Agencies were equally approved by the Commission.

In a statement signed by Musa Garba, Director Public Relations and Enlightenment at the Commission quoted Mr Shehu as further revealing that 3 disciplinary cases from different organisations were treated during the sitting.
The Chairman also stated that the total number of those promoted since the inauguration of the 23rd Commission headed by him in August this year was 379 and those transferred stood at 74 while those deployed to various Ministries, Departments and Agencies was 61, adding that others were change of cadre (2), change of name (1) and advancement (1) the rest were disciplinary cases (4).
He therefore, called on the workers to reciprocate the good gesture by maximizing productivity to achieve optimum result.
While expressing appreciation to the staff of the Commission for the commitment to ensure the success of the exercise, he explained that Engineer Abba Kabir Yusuf administration is people oriented committed towards the improvement of the welfare of the workers in the state at all times.
