In another story of unfortunate impact of banditry in Nigeria, a mother identified as Sharifa Noma, along with her newborn twin daughters, has been burnt to death in Sokoto State.
The unfortunate event unfolded after Sharifa Noma gave birth at home around 2:30 am on Tuesday.
Daily Trust reported a sources revealing that due to significant blood loss during childbirth, the family decided to transport her to the hospital for a possible blood infusion.
However, tragedy struck when their vehicle encountered a roadblock set up by bandits along Ruwa wuri-Bugawa road in Tangaza local government area of Sokoto.

The bandits opened fire on the vehicle, causing the driver to lose control.
Subsequently, the vehicle collided with a tree and burst into flames.
The driver, the mother, and one of the twin sisters were burnt to death, according to sources.
A resident of the community simply identified as Kabiru noted that, other passengers including the other twin sister escaped with injuries and were currently receiving treatment in the hospital.
