Out of the 85 directors who were invited to undergo assessments for promotions and appointments to the position of Permanent Secretary in the federal civil service, 65 did not pass the examinations.
Only 18 directors successfully passed the evaluation process and are slated to proceed to the final stage, an oral interview scheduled for Friday.
The Office of the Head of Civil Service of the Federation (OHCSF) released the results of the written exam conducted on Tuesday for directors from various states across the nation vying for vacant permanent secretary positions.

According to a circular with reference number HCSF/PS/CMO/178/VOL.11/85, dated November 7, 2023, those who passed the written exam have been invited for a proficiency test on Wednesday, November 8, at 8 a.m.
The test is to take place at the Muhammadu Buhari Centre, National Intelligence Agency, Asokoro Abuja by 10 a.m.
The circular shows that out of the 85 Directors cleared to sit for the written exam, 61 of them failed to meet the minimum mark of 50 per cent as only 20 of them passed, while the other four candidates were absent. No reason was stated for their not turning up.
