The hearing of appeal brought forward by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Labour Party (LP), and Allied Peoples Movement (APM), against the election victory of President Bola Tinubu is currently ongoing, at the Supreme Court of Nigeria.
The seven-member panel of justices, presided over by Justice Inyang Okoro, includes Justice Helen Ogunwumiju, Justice Ibrahim Saulawa, Justice Adamu Jauro, Justice Tijani Abubakar, Justice Emmanuel Agim, and Justice Lawal Garba.
Key figures in attendance include the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Ganduje, the LP chairman Julius Abure, the Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila, the National Security Adviser (NSA) Nuhu Ribadu, and other party members.

The central issue to be addressed in this Supreme Court session is the motion filed by the PDP presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar. Atiku seeks to introduce fresh evidence to support his claim that President Tinubu submitted a forged certificate to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
According to a hearing notice made available to journalists, the Supreme Court has scheduled the proceedings for 9 am. During this session, lawyers representing Atiku Abubakar and President Tinubu will present their arguments and refer to relevant laws to determine whether the court possesses the authority to grant such a request.
This appeal revolves around a 32-page document that was made available to Atiku on the orders of Judge Nancy Maldonado of the District Court of Illinois, Eastern Division, Illinois, United States of America.
The document is expected to play a crucial role in the proceedings, as both parties present their respective cases to the Supreme Court panel.
