Inter Miami’s head coach, Tata Martino, has confirmed that Luis Suarez is already part of the club’s plans for the 2024 season, with the former Barcelona star expected to join his compatriot Lionel Messi.
During the summer transfer window, there were speculations about the Uruguayan forward making a move to the Florida-based club.
However, Gremio, his then-club, did not grant him the transfer, despite his expressed desire to join Inter Miami.
Suarez has since made it clear that he will depart from Gremio at the end of the Brazilian season, which is earlier than initially anticipated since his contract had another year left.

His most likely destination in this scenario is the United States’ Major Soccer League (MLS).
A move to MLS would see Suarez reunite with his former Barcelona teammate Lionel Messi.
Together, they spent six successful years at Camp Nou, clinching four La Liga titles, a Champions League trophy, and numerous other honors.
In July, the 36-year-old Suarez had revealed his and Messi’s plan to retire together.
Tata Martino’s recent comments suggest that this long-standing aspiration is on the verge of becoming a reality.
Martino stated, “Within our analysis of the upcoming season, and the needs we may have, we have an analysis with Luis.
