The Kwara State Police command has initiated a manhunt for the suspected kidnappers who abducted the wife and two children of a serving lawmaker in the State House of Assembly.
The victims, identified as the wife and children of Hon. Lawal Ayanshola Soliu, representing Ipaiye/Malete/Olooru of Moro local government in the state House of Assembly, were taken from their residence early on Monday.
GOOD EVENING NIGERIA reports that the kidnappers, armed with AK-47 rifles, reportedly stormed the suburban residence in the state capital around 1:00 a.m., firing shots before abducting the victims. Their whereabouts remain unknown at this time.

The lawmaker has not comment on the development as of Tuesday, when filing this report.
However, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Okasanmi Ajayi, confirming the incident, said that men of the command were still in search of the kidnap victims.
He said details of the incident were still sketchy, promising to get back with comprehensive details of the incident.
