Azeez Fashola, popularly known as Naira Marley, and his associate Sam Larry cannot be convicted for the death of their former signee, Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, also known as Mohbad, based on allegations of bullying, according to Olalekan Ojo, their attorney.
Ojo argued that there is no substantial evidence to support the claims of bullying against his clients.
This comes in response to statements made by Lagos Police Commissioner Idowu Owohunwa, who linked Naira Marley and Sam Larry to cyberbullying, threats to life, assault causing harm, and conduct likely to cause a breach of peace against Mohbad.
The police boss said: “There are ample electronic and credible witness pieces of evidence linking them to cyberbullying, a threat to life, assault occasioning harm, and conduct likely to cause a breach of the peace against the deceased in his lifetime.”

However, Ojo contested Owohunwa’s statements during an interview with media personality Daddy Freeze.
He emphasized that there is no credible evidence to back up the allegations of bullying against Naira Marley. Ojo further asserted that no incident could be found where Naira Marley bullied Mohbad.
He said: “If anyone checks very well, they will not be able to find any evidence to back up claims that Naira Marley bullied Mohbad.
“As for Naira Marley, I believe very strongly that no matter how hard you look, you will not find a single incident where Naira Marley bullied him.”
The defence attorney further claimed the web video depicting Sam Larry hitting Mohbad during a music video production did not accurately represent the situation.
