The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has announced the postponement of its 293rd Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) meeting, which was originally slated for Monday and Tuesday, September 25 and 26, 2023.
The reason for this deferment was not provided by the apex bank. However, the CBN assured stakeholders and the general public that a new date for the meeting would be communicated in due course.
Dr. Isa AbdulMumin, the Director of Corporate Communications at the CBN, shared this information in a brief statement, expressing regrets for any inconvenience caused by the change.

The statement: “The Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has deferred its 293rd meeting scheduled for Monday and Tuesday, September 25 and 26, 2023, respectively.
“A new date will be communicated in due course.
We regret any inconvenience this change may cause our stakeholders and the general public”.
