The management of the late Nigerian music sensation, Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad, has revealed plans for a candlelight procession and tribute night in honor of the late artist.
Mohbad, who was previously signed under Naira Marley’s Marlian Records, tragically passed away at the age of 27 last Tuesday.
Since his untimely demise, fans and sympathizers alike have called for a thorough investigation into the cause of his death.
In a statement shared on the late singer’s social media accounts on Monday night, the management expressed gratitude for the love and support they’ve received from fans around the world, as well as those who have organized events in their communities to honor and pay respects to the departed artist.

The statement read, “Join us for Mohbad’s candlelight procession and tribute concert.”
The candlelight procession is scheduled for Thursday, September 21, 2023, at 5 pm and will take place at Lekki Phase 1 Gate. Following the procession, the Tribute Concert will commence at 8 pm at Muri Okunola Park, Lagos State.
Good Evening Nigeria reports that the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Idowu Owohunwa, has already commenced a full-scale investigation into the circumstances surrounding Mohbad’s untimely death.
