President Bola Tinubu has appointed Muhammad Sani Abdullahi Dattijo as the Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).
Dattijo’s had served as the Commissioner of Budget and Planning during the tenure of former Governor of Kaduna State, Malam Nasir El-Rufai.
Chief Ajuri Ngelale, the Presidential spokesman, made this announcement in an official statement released on Friday.
Alongside Dattijo, President Tinubu has nominated three other individuals for the position of Deputy Governors of the CBN.
These nominations are for an initial term of five (5) years, subject to confirmation by the Nigerian Senate.

The other Deputy Governor nominees are Mrs. Emem Nnana Usoro, Mr. Philip Ikeazor, and Dr. Bala M. Bello.
The President also nominated Dr Olayemi Michael Cardoso, as the apex bank Governor.
The appointments are subject to confirmation of the Senate.
