Zacch Adedeji, the Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on revenue matters, has been named the Acting Chairman of the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS).
This appointment follows the retirement leave of the outgoing chairman, Mohammed Nami, whose tenure is set to conclude in December 2023.
Adedeji, a certified accountant originally from the Iwo-Ate area in Ogo-Oluwa local government of Oyo state, brings a wealth of experience to this role.

Notably, at the age of 33, he served as the Finance Commissioner during the tenure of former Governor Abiola.
The certified accountant who hails from the Iwo-Ate area of Ogo-Oluwa local government of Oyo state, recently bagged his doctorate degree from the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Nigeria.
