Popular Nigerian disc jockey (DJ), Florence Ifeoluwa Otedola, widely known as DJ Cuppy, has expressed her eagerness to become the full-time backup singer for the sensational artist Asake.
DJ Cuppy shared this aspiration on Tuesday, recounting her conversation with Asake after their first meeting.
In a post on her official X (formerly Twitter) handle, she posted a video of their encounter and voiced her strong desire to join Asake on his music journey as his primary backup singer.

She wrote: “Hadn’t met @AsakeMusik in real life until this surprise. I was finally able to discuss my deep desire and career development of becoming his full-time backup singer. #CuppyOnAMission #MrsMoney.”
Good Evening Nigeria reports that this is coming a week after Asake won two of the most coveted awards at the 2023 Headies: Next Rated Award and Album of the Year.
He had also recently shut down the 20,000-capacity O2 Arena in London, United Kingdom. Asake joins Davido, Burna Boy and Wizkid on the list of Nigerian artistes that have sold out the O2 Arena.
