The Kano State Head of Civil Service, Alhaji Usman Muhammad, has appealed to the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Kano Chapter, to relax areas of essential services during its two-day warning strike.
This is contained in a statement issued by the Director, Public Enlightenment, Office of the Head of Service, Hajiya Bintu Yakasai, on Tuesday in Kano.
He made call at a meeting with the leadership of the entire labour force in the state held at the conference hall of the Office of the Head of Civil Service.
According to him, the present administration is a labour friendly and ready to deliver on the germane requests of the union in order to achieve the set goals of effective service delivery.
Mubammad promised them that all their requests would be forwarded to Gov. Abba Yusuf for necessary action.

He thanked the union leadership for cooperating with his office and relaxing in some areas of water provision, health services and fire service, a commitment well acknowledged by the governor.
Earlier, the state Chairman of the NLC, Mr Kabiru Inuwa, appreciated the present administration’s commitment to civil servants and pensioners as well as ensuring well being of the state work force and people of Kano. (NAN)
